Assessment without development is an expensive way to confirm what the organisation already suspects. ProventusHR connects diagnostic precision to programme design.

Kirkpatrick L3 and L4
ProventusHR designs leadership assessment and development engagements that begin with a structured diagnostic of the specific capability gap between the current leadership population and the future capability the organisation requires. Every development programme is designed from this diagnostic, producing a direct connection between the assessment finding and the programme content that addresses it.
Most organisations separate assessment from development. A 360 assessment is conducted. A report is produced. The report is debriefed with the individual. A development plan is written. The development plan is filed. Eighteen months later, the same assessment finds the same gaps. The assessment produced insight. It did not produce change.
ProventusHR integrates assessment and development as a single design discipline. Every ProventusHR engagement begins with a diagnostic that identifies the specific leadership capability gaps in the target population through a combination of stakeholder interviews, available assessment data, manager conversations, and performance observation. The development programme is built from those specific gaps. The assessment is not a product. It is the first step in a development architecture that closes the gaps the assessment names.
Three disciplines integrate assessment and development into a single outcome-producing architecture.
Capability Gap Analysis
ProventusHR conducts a capability gap analysis that combines quantitative 360 data with qualitative stakeholder observation. The analysis names the specific leadership behaviours that are limiting the effectiveness of the target population, not a general profile of strengths and weaknesses. The gap analysis is the design brief for the development programme. Every module, simulation, and debrief is built to close one of the named gaps.
Population-Level Diagnostic
For cohort programmes, ProventusHR conducts a population-level diagnostic that identifies the gaps common to the target population as well as the variation across individuals. The programme is designed to address the common gaps through the group architecture. Individual coaching or targeted modules address the gaps specific to individuals within the cohort.
90-Day Re-Assessment
At 90 days after programme close, ProventusHR conducts a stakeholder-rated re-assessment of the specific behaviours identified in the initial capability gap analysis. The re-assessment measures whether the development programme closed the named gaps. The evidence is external, specific, and comparable to the baseline. This is the standard that makes ProventusHR assessments productive rather than merely diagnostic.
Talent Review Integration
ProventusHR produces assessment and development evidence in a format designed for talent review and succession planning use. The Behaviour Change Report and portfolio-level impact report provide talent review panels with specific, stakeholder-rated evidence of leadership capability, not just self-reported development goals or facilitator impressions.
Organisations whose 360 assessment data is rich but whose development programmes are generic rather than built from the specific gaps the data identifies
Talent review panels who need evidence of leadership capability more credible than self-reported development plans and manager impressions
Hi-po identification processes that identify potential but have no development architecture connected to the specific capability gaps separating the hi-po from the target role
Senior leadership teams where aggregate assessment data identifies a consistent team-level gap that individual development programmes cannot address
Organisations preparing for significant growth or transformation who need to assess current leadership capability against the future state requirement before designing the development investment
What ProventusHR Assessment and Development Produces
A capability gap analysis naming the specific leadership behaviours limiting the effectiveness of the target population, in language that is actionable for programme design and talent decisions
A development programme built directly from the assessment findings: every module and simulation designed to close one of the named gaps
A 90-day re-assessment measuring whether the programme closed the gaps it was designed to close, providing evidence of development ROI rather than activity completion
Talent review documentation presenting leadership capability evidence in the specific, stakeholder-rated format that makes succession and advancement decisions more credible
A development architecture integrated with the talent management system, not running parallel to it

The development programme most commonly prescribed following a capability gap analysis for senior managers.
Explore ›A 360 assessment measures how a leader is currently perceived across multiple rater groups. A capability gap analysis interprets 360 data alongside stakeholder interviews and performance observation to identify the specific leadership behaviours that, if changed, would produce the most significant difference in the leader's effectiveness or the organisation's performance. The 360 describes. The capability gap analysis prescribes. ProventusHR uses 360 data as one input in the capability gap analysis, not as the output of the assessment process.
Every ProventusHR engagement begins with a diagnostic that produces a capability gap analysis. The development programme is built from that analysis: the module sequence is designed to address the gaps in priority order, the simulation scenarios are built to surface the specific behaviours identified as gaps, and the debrief structure is designed to close each gap through practice and naming. The assessment is the brief for the design. Nothing in the programme is generic.
ProventusHR does not offer standalone assessment services. The assessment is the first phase of an integrated assessment and development engagement. Experience shows that assessment without committed development produces neither the change the organisation needs nor the engagement from participants that makes development effective. If a standalone assessment product is needed, ProventusHR can recommend appropriate psychometric providers.
ProventusHR does not use proprietary psychometric instruments as the primary assessment method. The diagnostic combines stakeholder interviews, manager conversations, performance data review, and where the organisation has existing 360 or talent assessment data, interpretation of that data. For engagements where a structured 360 is required, ProventusHR recommends and administers a behavioural 360 instrument calibrated to the leadership behaviours identified as the development priority.
ProventusHR produces assessment and development documentation in a format designed for talent review use. The Behaviour Change Report documents the baseline capability gap analysis, the development programme design, and the 90-day stakeholder-rated re-assessment findings in a structured format that talent review panels can use to assess succession readiness, promotion decisions, and hi-po identification. The report presents specific, manager-verified evidence rather than facilitator impressions or self-report.
Succession planning identifies who is ready for the next role. Leadership assessment identifies what specifically they need to develop to be ready. ProventusHR connects the two by designing succession development programmes from the specific capability gaps the succession assessment identifies, producing programmes that address the actual succession readiness gap rather than a generic acceleration curriculum.
The assessment phase typically takes four to six weeks from initial diagnostic conversations to programme design brief. The development programme then runs six to twelve months depending on scope and architecture. The 90-day re-assessment follows programme close. A complete assessment and development engagement from diagnostic to evidence runs twelve to eighteen months. Organisations that expect a shorter cycle are typically expecting the assessment to do the work of development, which it cannot.
