ProventusHR designs bespoke high potential leadership programmes that accelerate identified leaders from their current capability to the future role requirements that matter to the organisation. Built on LEAP architecture with individual coaching, sponsorship activation, and documented behavioural evidence. Every hi-po engagement begins with a diagnostic of the specific gap, not a standard accelerated development curriculum.
Most hi-po programmes identify the wrong development content. They take the highest-performing managers, put them through a leadership curriculum designed for general populations, add some executive exposure, and call it an acceleration programme. The result is a cohort that learns faster than average but still does not arrive at the future role ready. The gap between current performance and future role readiness is specific. The programme design must be equally specific.
ProventusHR begins every hi-po engagement with a diagnostic that maps the exact capability distance between where the leader is now and what the future role requires. The programme is designed from that gap. For some cohorts, the primary gap is strategic thinking. For others, it is stakeholder influence. For others, it is the identity shift from functional expert to enterprise leader. The programme design follows the diagnosis, not a standard curriculum.
Four design principles distinguish ProventusHR hi-po programmes from a standard accelerated development curriculum.
Gap-Based Design
The programme is built from the distance between current capability and future role requirements, not from a leadership competency framework applied generically. The diagnostic identifies what specific behaviours must change for the leader to be ready for the target role. Everything in the programme is designed to close that gap.
LEAP Architecture
ProventusHR hi-po programmes use the LEAP architecture: multiple modules over 6 to 9 months, ExperienceLearning methodology, individual coaching between modules, peer cohort accountability, and a manager engagement architecture. This is not a programme. It is a sustained development journey with evidence built in from the start.
Sponsorship Activation
Executive sponsors are engaged in the programme design, not invited to a closing session. Sponsors brief the facilitator on the specific leadership behaviours they need to see from the hi-po leader. They attend mid-programme reviews and receive 90-day evidence documentation. Sponsorship is an architecture, not an afterthought.
Evidence Architecture
Every hi-po participant completes a Self Impact Showcase at 90 days documenting the specific behaviour change, the business situation, the outcome, and the reporting manager co-signature. For hi-pos, this document serves both as accountability evidence and as preparation for the promotion or succession conversation.
Hi-po leaders identified confidently at manager level who plateau at senior manager level without a clear reason that the talent system can name
Acceleration programmes that produce confident leaders who still cannot operate at the strategic altitude the next role requires
Sponsorship that is nominal: senior leaders who agree to sponsor but do not actively advocate or create visibility
Development plans that exist on paper and are not reflected in the actual work assignments, meetings, or visibility the hi-po receives
Attrition: identified high potentials who leave because the development investment did not match the label they were given
What ProventusHR Hi-Po Programmes Produce
Leaders who arrive at the promotion conversation with a documented evidence record of the capability required for the next role
Sponsorship that is active: executive sponsors who have observed the leader in action and are willing to put their name to the promotion
A named capability gap that is visibly closed: the specific behaviour the diagnostic identified as missing is documented as present at 90 days
Strategic readiness: leaders who can operate at the altitude of the next role before they are placed in it
Retention: high potentials who believe the organisation is genuinely investing in their progression

Explore ›A high potential leadership programme accelerates the development of leaders identified by the organisation as having the capability to move significantly beyond their current role. At ProventusHR, this means designing from the specific capability gap between where the hi-po leader is now and where the role they are being prepared for requires them to be — not delivering a generic accelerated development curriculum.
ProventusHR begins every hi-po engagement with a diagnostic that includes the criteria the organisation uses to identify high potentials, the specific roles being prepared for, the typical capability gaps between current performance and future role requirements, and any existing assessment data. The programme is designed from this diagnostic. The content is never assumed from the label.
LEAP Emerging Leaders or LEAP Managers of Managers depending on the leader's current level. For first-time managers identified as high potentials, LEAP Emerging Leaders builds the foundation pipeline capability with higher intensity coaching and accelerated accountability. For managers of managers, LEAP MoM builds the second-level leadership capability with added stretch assignments and executive exposure.
LEAP Senior Leaders combined with The Director's Forge for the transition preparation element. Hi-po Senior Managers typically need both the sustained capability build of a multi-month LEAP journey and a concentrated strategic leadership intensive to accelerate their readiness for the Director or VP transition.
ProventusHR designs hi-po journeys as architectures, not events. Sustained development requires a coaching relationship, peer cohort accountability, stretch assignments embedded in the programme design, manager engagement in the accountability architecture, and a formal evidence review at 90 days. The self impact showcase documents the specific leadership behaviour the hi-po applied and the outcome produced.
Yes. Visibility to senior leadership is a programme design element in ProventusHR hi-po engagements, not an optional add-on. Senior leader exposure sessions, capstone presentations to the leadership team, and sponsorship conversations with executive sponsors are built into the architecture. Sponsorship is activated, not assumed.
ProventusHR measures hi-po programme outcomes through Self Impact Showcase evidence at 90 days, manager-rated behaviour change, promotion readiness assessment against the identified future role criteria, and where available, talent review outcomes. The documentation standard is the same as all ProventusHR programmes: named situations, named outcomes, manager co-signature.
