Indian Army special operations. These are the execution standards the ZKITBAG™ framework is drawn from.
The Velocity Studio is a programme designed for leaders and teams in organisations where the gap between strategy and execution is not a strategy problem but an execution culture problem. Execution excellence is a learnable, practisable capability, not a natural talent. It requires a specific operating philosophy, a clear information architecture, a trust-based accountability model, and the discipline to close the loop between intent and outcome.
Duration
1 Full Day
Primary Audience
Senior Leaders, Project Leaders, Delivery Teams
Delivery
In-person, cohort of up to 30
The programme draws on lessons from Indian Army special operations: the principles of intelligence-driven planning, mission clarity, buddy accountability, and closed-loop communication that distinguish high-performance units from average ones. These principles are translated directly into corporate leadership contexts through the ZKITBAG™ framework, creating an execution operating model that is immediately applicable to planning cycles, stakeholder management, team accountability structures, and performance cadences.
The Corporate Maze™ floor simulation anchors the day experientially, placing teams in a complex, high-stakes execution scenario with incomplete information and real-time pressure. The simulation generates precise behavioural data on each team's execution patterns, which becomes the primary debrief material for the ZKITBAG™ framework application and the programme's accountability conversations.
A ProventusHR proprietary framework translating Indian Army special operations execution principles into a corporate leadership operating model. Each dimension is examined against the team's Corporate Maze simulation performance and applied to a live business execution challenge.

Business Landscape
Understand the terrain before you move. What is the full landscape of the execution challenge, including the obstacles, allies, and unknowns?
K
Khabar
Information Flow
Intelligence drives decisions. What information is needed, who holds it, how is it verified, and how does it flow accurately to those who need it?
I

Objective Clarity
Every member must know the mission two levels up. Is the objective understood with precision at every level of the team?
T
Tarkib
Method and Solution Design
Plan with rigour. What is the method, what are the contingencies, and how does the team adapt when the plan meets reality?
B
Bandhu
Trust and Co-accountability
The buddy principle. Two people holding each other to a shared execution standard, with named commitments and a review protocol.

Closed-Loop Communication
Synchronise. Verify. Confirm. No assumed receipt, no open loops, no mid-execution surprises from messages that were sent but not received.
Every instrument produces observable behavioural data that feeds directly into the ZKITBAG™ assessment and the team's Execution Charter. Nothing is standalone. Everything connects.
Corporate Maze™ (Execution Under Pressure Simulation)
A floor simulation placing teams in a complex execution scenario under time pressure with restricted information. Surfaces planning rigour, communication discipline, initiative-taking patterns, accountability defaults, and response to unexpected obstacles. Generates the raw behavioural data that drives all subsequent ZKITBAG™ framework applications.
ZKITBAG™ Execution Assessment
Each participant completes a structured assessment of their primary workstream against all seven ZKITBAG™ dimensions. The assessment connects simulation performance data to live business execution challenges, making the framework immediately applicable rather than theoretical.
Mission Clarity and Objective Alignment
Every member of a high-performance unit understands the mission two levels up and executes with initiative within that understanding. Participants examine their own and their team's clarity on strategic objectives, identify the gaps between intent and understanding, and design specific communication and alignment practices to close those gaps.
Trust and Co-accountability: The Buddy System
The peer accountability principle from special operations: two-person buddy pairs hold each other to specific execution standards and mutual accountability commitments. Participants pair up and design a 30-day mutual accountability structure with named commitments, specific checkpoints, and a review protocol.
Closed-Loop Communication Discipline
Examines the execution failures that stem from assumed confirmation, partial information, and communication noise. Participants apply closed-loop protocols to their team's information flows and identify the specific points where their current execution cadence breaks down and corrective action is required.
Execution Charter and 30-Day Operating Rhythm
The programme closes with each participant designing a personal and team Execution Charter: mission clarity statement, ZKITBAG™ action priorities, buddy accountability structure, 30-day closed-loop communication protocols. Reviewed at 30 and 90 days and referenced in performance conversations as the standard against which execution behaviour is assessed.
The persistent gap between strategy and delivery that cannot be explained by capability deficit alone
Assumed communication: instructions sent but not received, understood, or actioned, with no protocol for closing the loop
Mission ambiguity at the team level: team members who cannot clearly state the objective two levels above their role
Accountability that is positional rather than mutual: leaders who hold their teams to account but have no peer accountability structure for their own commitments
Execution that degrades under pressure: teams whose performance drops precisely when delivery demand is highest
Closed-loop communication protocol active for at least one major workstream within 30 days, reducing mid-execution surprises and confirmation gaps
Buddy accountability pairs in active use, with at least two check-in conversations completed and documented at 30 days
Mission clarity for the team's top strategic priority articulated in writing, shared with all members, and verified for accurate understanding two levels down
At 90 days: reduced mid-cycle escalations, fewer missed commitments, and measurably increased delivery against stated timelines
Named outputs from the programme design document. The Execution Charter is the accountability reference reviewed at 30 and 90 days. Kirkpatrick Level 3 measurement is standard on every engagement.
ZKITBAG™ Execution Assessment: A completed assessment of the participant's primary workstream against all seven dimensions, identifying the specific execution gaps and the corrective actions required.
Buddy Accountability Structure: A named accountability partner from the cohort with a specific 30-day check-in schedule, named commitments, and a review protocol for mutual execution standards.
Mission Clarity Statement: A written statement of the participant's primary strategic objective, verified for accurate understanding at two levels below, and used as the reference point for all execution decisions within the 30-day window.
Execution Charter: A structured document capturing mission clarity, ZKITBAG™ action priorities, buddy accountability commitments, and closed-loop communication protocols. The primary reference for performance conversations at 30 and 90 days.
Every ProventusHR programme is designed bespoke to your organisation’s context. No two engagements are identical.
Explore Leadership Capability ›The Velocity Studio is a high-intensity experiential programme that builds execution discipline, strategic clarity, and operational accountability. It combines the Corporate Maze™ floor simulation, the ZKITBAG™ execution framework drawn from Indian Army special operations principles, peer accountability structures, and closed-loop communication protocols.
ZKITBAG™ is a seven-dimension execution framework: Business Landscape (Zamini Nishan), Information Flow (Khabar), Objective Clarity (Irada), Method and Solution Design (Tarkib), Trust and Co-accountability (Bandhu), Pride and Purpose (Andaaz), and Closed-Loop Communication (Ghadi Milao). It translates Indian Army special operations execution principles into a corporate leadership operating model.
Corporate Maze™ is a ProventusHR floor simulation placing teams in a complex execution scenario under time pressure with incomplete information. It surfaces planning rigour, communication discipline, initiative-taking patterns, and accountability defaults, generating the precise debrief material for the ZKITBAG™ framework application.
Closed-loop communication is the practice of verifying that instructions, information, and directives have been accurately received and understood before assuming they have been actioned. Participants identify the specific points in their team's execution cadence where communication loops are open and design protocols to close them.
Senior leaders, project leaders, and team managers in organisations where the gap between strategic planning and operational delivery is a persistent problem. Particularly relevant for transformation teams, programme management offices, cross-functional delivery teams, and leadership populations in high-growth or high-pressure environments.
A completed ZKITBAG™ execution assessment for their primary workstream, a buddy accountability structure with a named partner and 30-day check-in schedule, a mission clarity statement verified two levels down, a closed-loop communication protocol, and an Execution Charter documenting all commitments and accountability structures.
