This motto of my school in a dusty mofussil town, emphasizes the importance of discipline in acquiring knowledge. It highlights that one cannot truly love knowledge if they do not love discipline, to acquire knowledge in a structured and systematic manner. To acquire knowledge, one must be disciplined in their approach, as well as in their efforts to retain, apply and expand upon what they have learned. This is particularly true in today's fast-paced world where new information is constantly being generated and it is easy to become overwhelmed and lost in a sea of data.
The discipline required to acquire knowledge can be difficult and demanding, but the rewards are worth it. Those who are disciplined in their approach to knowledge will find that they have a better understanding of the world around them, and they are able to think more critically and make more informed decisions.
At our Brandon Hall Gold winning LEAP Leadership Journeys, we understand the importance of discipline in acquiring knowledge and we have designed our programs to facilitate the application of knowledge through action learning projects and platform-driven nudges.
